Brazilian Advertising Expert Alexandre Gama

Brazilian born entrepreneur Alexandre Gama began his career in advertising in 1982 when he obtained employment as a copywriter at Standard Ogilvy and Mather.

He advanced to become a creative director at several other companies such as DM9 and Young and Rubicam, where he was also a member of the board.

After leaving Young and Rubicam in 1999, he decided to start his own advertising agency, which he named Neogama. This agency later became one of the top 20 agencies of its kind in Brazil.

Alexandre Gama, who was born in Rio de Janeiro, was the first Latin American to head a global network of advertising companies and to present a Master Class at France’s Cannes Film Festival, and in 2014, he ventured into the music industry by launching an acoustic guitar project called Violab, which involves a recording studio, a recording label, a radio show and a YouTube channel.
