Philanthropist, Columnist and Technologist- Erick Pulier
Being able to accomplish a lot at a young age is every young person’s dreams and desires in life. However not all of us are able to meet our goals, because it requires dedication and hard work. At a young age Erick Pulier was proud to have accomplished so much.
Erick Pulier is more than a eminent Harvard University graduate. Mr. Erick’s hard work and devotion has seen him earn many titles including being a columnist, a philanthropist, a public speaker, published author, a radiant technologist, and as an entrepreneur who has been able to build several successful startups. Erick Pulier can well fit into a description of an interesting tech entrepreneurs in the world.
Erick Pulier was born and raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. It is clear that an education was simply a sharpening tool for his natural intellect as he started programming computers at fourth grade. Erick’s passion for technology as well as his devotion saw him establish a data base Company in 1984 after his high school graduation. After his high school graduation he went to Harvard University to study English and American literature and he became an editor of the institution’s daily Newspaper, Harvard Crimson. Erick also wrote for the newspaper and his editorial news can be viewed from his Harvard writer’s profile. Erick widely wrote on the dangers of terrorism, the stigma associated with Harvard degree and other important topics.
Erick Pulier has established several successful startups XPrize being one of them and perhaps the most radical startups. XPrize is a program which includes several competitions and winning of prizes to individuals who are willing to push themselves to their fullest possibility. Mr. Pulier’s vision was to help the young people realize their dreams as he rewards their success. Erick Pulier also founded Akana where he established SOA software program. The program expanded and in the 2000s he acquired several other merchants under the Akana brand. After growing it and becoming one of the most influential group for SOA solutions, he sold the company to Rogue Wave software in 2016.
Erick Pulier is not only a technologist and an editor; he also contributes much in the society. Erick is a donor at the Painted Turtle which is a camp for children with chronic illness. Pulier donates his time and resources to make sure that children with chronic diseases enjoy summer camp experience.
